The Furama is about five minutes north of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), at the southwest corner of Lincoln Blvd. and Manchester Ave. Please see below for driving directions and maps.

The Furama operates a free shuttle to and from LAX.

A block of rooms (of various types) have been reserved for Meltdown attendees, but to obtain the conference price rooms must be booked with the Furama via phone by July 11. Please tell the reservation agent that you are attending the "PFIR Conference".

While the Furama does not have in-room Internet service, PFIR will be providing free Wifi (802.11 b/g) wireless (and limited wired) Internet access at the conference room.

Breakfast starts at 7:45 am each morning.
First day sign-in begins at 7:30 am.

The total conference registration fee per person is USD $120 prior to July 18. All registrations from July 18 onward (including on-site registrations) are $150 per person. We strongly urge preregistering to be sure of attending, since space will be limited. Booking of hotel rooms is the responsibility of attendees and the cost of hotel rooms is not included in the registration fee.

The registration fee includes continental breakfast all three days and afternoon snacks on Monday and Tuesday.

How to Register:

The easiest way to register is by faxing the completed Registration Form with credit card information (Visa/MC/Amex) to +1 (818) 884-7502 (no cover page is necessary -- this is a standalone fax in a secure location). Registrations will be confirmed via a message to your designated e-mail address after processing. For non-fax registrations or for other forms of payment, please contact us at or call on voice telephone number +1 (310) 680-9188 for more information (9:00 am to 6:00 pm PDT).

Receipts for all registration payments will be held for pickup at the conference unless you request otherwise.

We are not accepting registration payments over the Internet. If you wish, you may e-mail most of the information requested on the Registration Form to, but please do NOT e-mail any information related to your credit cards. Credit card information in this case can be faxed in separately or called in to (310) 680-9188 (9:00 am to 6:00 pm PDT).

All logistics for the conference are being handled by Vortex Technology, to which all payments should be made, and which will appear on your credit card statement. Please note that your registration fee is not a charitable contribution.

Registrations cancelled prior to July 18 will be refunded at 100%. From July 18 onward refunds are 50%.

Exit 105 FWY West at LAX/Sepulveda exit
